Taking Shape
Adjustments and Material Development
- A few varied form changes
1. Carport is now located on northern side so that movement through the house and entire site is linear.
2. Banded window aligned with bedroom windows flow along whole of site.
3. Central Bathroom is double height room to skylight window.

Woodern Horse Development
3DS MAX Attempts
Since my site is quite narrow and blocked in both sides, north and south. I have further considered my idea of catching light and transferring down to lower levels.
Ideas
- Use of arched roof shape to catch northern sun. Varied positions of windows along roof depending on room and what time of the day light will hit the arched roof.- Elongated garden bed on the southern side to catch any rainfall from arched roof.
- Use of glass to separate natural areas that at night time will be reflective giving the sense of a wider space.
Here is my initial attempt of the overall form.
The Woodern Horse
Submission 3
With the entire class developing their design on a real site located in the suburb of Hindmarsh, Adelaide we are to develop the previous submission even further.
We are asked to develop our building so that its design camouflages itself as something else.
This site is as follows.

Further Inspiration
Some complex forms in which I would like to incorporate into my design. Triangular windows/openings. Angled walls to utilize natural light.
